Strategy with Vision

434 exhibitors presented spectacle frames, lenses, technology and shopfittings, contact lenses and low vision equipment at Opti' 10 at the weekend. Almost 21,000 trade visitors attended - a 5% rise in visitor numbers. Both exhibitors and visitors alike registered their increased satisfaction of the trade show (Gelszus - independent opinion researchers).

Dieter Dohr, CEO and President of GHM Gesellschaft für Handwerksmessen mbH, gave an upbeat summary of the three days of the fair: "Opti exudes charm and optimism".

According to the organisers, visitor numbers from abroad were up by 9%, the largest increases in visitors were registered from: Great Britain, Israel, Italy, the Czech Republic, Turkey, Slovenia, Poland and Russia.

Around half of the visitors (9 percent more than last year) attended at least one of the free presentations on marketing, sports optics and technology themes. And more and more young people took advantage of this Forum and the information on offer at the opti Campus with its nine optometry colleges (institutions from Switzerland and Austria were represented for the first time).
